It sucks when people buy extra just to sell on ebay and not for collecting purposes. I bought 2 myself, one to store and one to display.

I know it's evil of me to do, but money is tight, what with school and all.

my buddy went to SDCC, bought 2 cases of egons, so i got to pick through 2 sealed cases to pick my two out. love this figure, gotta get the rest of them, i was hoping to have some Mattel ghostbusters stuff this week at wizard world but mattel isnt gonna be there.

So he would be one of the people that was getting away with not having to go by the purchasing limit. I really don't understand why Mattel did that. They should've stuck to their purchasing limits. Granted I don't really care, cuz I got my order in. But clearly, your friend just bought 2 cases with the intent of reselling a lot of them for profit, which isn't cool.

Totally agree, if I miss out on the next figure as everyone will have to go through Matty Site, then I would be really pissed @ people like that and I would not be prepared to pay dealer prices, I would rather go with out.

he bought it after the show ended, at that time of the convention companies dont care about limits, they just sell what they can sell before the show ends. and he is what we call in the toy collecting biz as a provider. he bought all those figures for other people, each figure has a home with a collecter that couldnt go to the show, he doesnt sell to scalpers. maybe next time ill explain that before remarks like this come out. not everyoe who buys cases is a scalper dealer

Well given their mismanagement, I wouldn't say its impossible that he bought it after the convention, but the figure was announced as sold out at the convention, so having cases left at the end would be somewhat odd. (Again, they mismanaged a lot of stuff, so it is possible).

But yea, it would have helped had you posted that he bought 2 sealed cases to deliver to friends. Most people don't buy that many for people.

We will really only know when the Matty site update the GB page with Septembers figure now that Egon is SOLD OUT.
