The 12" figures are $60 each. This is from the presentation made at SDCC.

A nice bonus to them is that their packs light up.

Problem for me is when you add in Shipping and Import Taxes it'll be more near the $100 mark for me. I remember when I imported some Blu-Ray movies that were over the $30 threshold I then ended up paying around a further $30 in costs.

Thanks!

So that's £35.41…a lot of money for a penniless student but not that much when you consider the detail…and that their packs light up (*_*)

If I get a job before they come out I'm definately getting one. If not, I'll cry and be envious of those of you who can buy 'em.

Will they definately be hit by shipping and import taxes?

I hope future ones continue to last at least a few days as well. Those quick MOTU sell outs are annoying.

There's no kind way to say this: If money's tight, only buy one.

It's expensive enough buying one of each, but buying two is an investment; there's profit to be had through eBay. It's not like I'm making a business out of it(like those who stockpile to resell). I'd only do it to take less of a hit to the wallet in buying just one. I can definitely understand how it'd feel though for a fan to miss out completely because of others hoarding them to auction off. If no one else here plans to, I might just buy a few extra of each figure solely to resell without profit to those in the community who missed out.

Its a very nice gesture to offer such a thing… but weren't you just saying money is tight? Now you're willing to be the one to put up the money up front for people to get their figures?

And I get what you're saying about someone missing out on the figure because of people hoarding it to resell for profit on eBay, but whether you buy one extra or 5 extra, the figure still sells out faster. Its just as wrong, regardless of how many you buy, and it makes you just as responsible for the figure selling out faster than it would've.

I can spare to spend a little extra money upfront if I know I'll be getting it all back in short order.

You're right; the figures will sell out faster one way or the other. But it might be helpful to buy extra to resell without profit if the figures sell out very quickly, leaving some of the collectors interested in buying unable to do so within the short time frame available(maybe they can't take time off work). It might just keep a few extra out of the hands of the evil scalpers.

Let's all just hope that these figures won't all be selling out too quickly. Heck, a subscription offer would be great!

I thought originally that the 6 inch figures were going to be available in retail while the dolls were going to be an online exclusive?

AFAIK they're ALL going to be online exclusive. That might change if a third movie comes out.

I've imported alot from America, mainly figures and have never been hit with import taxes for that so it's deffinatley not guaranteed. It seems to depend on how items are shipped and luck of not having your item selected. My items were often marked as “gift” so they were left alone.

I know there's a chance of getting hit with custom tax, but i'm not too concerned. It only happened to me once which was I imported the Rock Band PS3 set, that was a pretty hefty charge, but nothing else every got taxed and I had cases coming in.

My order stills ays in process
