What ever happened to the NECA translucent Slimer? Is that still coming out?

That's what I'm telling you, though. You should've just demanded a refund since they didn't follow through on the fact that it was an order on one from SDCC and should've been mailed 3 weeks ago. Now you're stuck trying to re-sell it to recoup your costs.

In any case, PayPal refunded my money, so I'm all set with that. We'll have to wait and see about my Minimate orders.

First time poster but I just wanted to give everybody the heads up that toy rocket is out of anything sdcc minimates and whatnot i just got refunded for two separate orders;however, they did offer to refund the money with no problems! I would be suspicious since i just received mail stating chapter 11 item claims…….just want to help out my fellow collectors!

i did it that day you told me , they have till the 24th to respond so paypal screwed me over. I dont know why they give them a month to respond. What did you do different? I already have buyer so all is good tho

PayPal gives them 10 days to respond. If they don't respond at all within 10 days, then the money is refunded. Did you escalate your dispute to a claim? Because if not then PayPal wouldn't have gotten involved yet.

Just thought I'd update everyone on the ebay auction for the Mattel Ray Stantz…£40/$66…with five days to go.

I don't understand why people would pay that much rather than wait a few months and buy it from a reliable retailer.

Perhaps this should be posted as a separate news item for the next little bit given how many people ordered from them…

Just letting everyone know, I called Toyrocket today 1-866-TOYROCKET (I realize that TOYROCKET is 8 digits, but just do it, it works), and actually got someone who answered today instead of an automated machine. I went through every order I have with them, giving them the order numbers which I obtained from my receipts and My Account on Toyrocket.com. They refunded my money on the spot, and it was back in my PayPal account before I even hung up the phone with them.

Needless to say, I wouldn't say I'm “satisfied” with this whole adventure, but I've now gotten all of my money back on every item I ordered from them and won't be dealing with them again.

got egon in this morning , im not sure yet what do with paypal since they did not follow up on there end of the deal like they claimed they would have. I feel i should cancel the paypal claim but at the same time i feel they owe me some money for taking 3 weeks. But really i should return it for a refund since i paid more than what they normally cost and th eonly reason i got two thru matty was because toyrocket screwed me……..

Give PayPal a call and explain the situation to them. Like I said, they give Toyrocket 10 days to respond after you escalate it to a claim, not just when you enter the dispute. I had no problems with PayPal at all.

And yesterday, when I called Toyrocket, I was actually connected to someone, and I got refunds on all of my other orders. I explained that they shouldn't ship out the Egon figure since I had gotten an e-mail saying he was about to ship and already got my refund from PayPal, and they said they didn't communicate with PayPal about that. They asked me if I wanted to keep the figure or stick with my refund, and I said I already got my refund, and they said that I should then just refuse the package when it gets here and have them put Return to Sender on it. That way they will get the figure back, and I've already got my refund.

Honestly, give PayPal or Toyrocket a call. You're not going to get a partial refund though, I don't think. You're going to need to either decide to keep the figure and resell it, or get the full refund. I went with full refunds on all of my orders, since the bankruptcy thing has me feeling like they're very sketchy, let alone the fact that they were completely out of communication for over a week's time. Sorry, I don't pay my hard earned money out of my pocket for these toys only to have the company not respond to any questions or comments. Not gonna fly. So now I've received my refund, and I'm not happy with the process, but I'm happy to know I don't have any money sitting with them anymore, and won't make the mistake of ordering from them again.

Again, there's not a doubt in my mind that they lied in the eBay auction and said they had them in hand when they didn't, bought them on Mattycollector on Aug 3rd, and are now trying to ship those out as the ones that we won 3 weeks ago.
