Why Did sony Re-Release Ghostbusters?

I know that its been out there from time to time but the new cover??? i dont know. did they figure that they were losing money from the franchise?
im gone.

venkman, he's talking about the latest dvd, video release.
my guess as to why the rereleased it was to cash in on the dvd craze… and $$$.

Ah. My apologies, back. The question came out hazy. smile

Anyway, I think Sony felt that DVD is a very profitable market. GB1's 15th anniversary was approaching, and they know GB has a huge fanbase. Therefore, making a decent amount of money for them.

I myself thought that the GB DVD cover was awesome. As for the GB2 DVD cover, that could've used some definite work.
